Loving the 4am Rise and Grind

My journey with Adventure Boot Camp began 2 months after I had my second baby (and also my second c-section).  I knew this time my post-baby journey was going to be much different (harder) than the first one, and I wanted to lose the weight the right way, the healthy way -- NO MORE DIET PILLS or fad diets.  I wanted to be the best and healthiest version of myself -- not only for me, but also for my babies and my husband, too (after all, if mom isn't happy then no one is happy, am I right?!).

My life long best friend told me about ABC and how great Melanie was, she told me if I just tried the bootcamp out I would not regret it.  I initially went into it thinking that I would just go and do one month's worth of camp to jump-start my weight loss and then thought I would get a gym membership after that first month to keep up whatever results I earned...

As I sit here typing this and think back on the last three bootcamps that I've completed, I realize that joining ABC was one of the best decisions I've ever made.  Melanie has been instrumental in helping me figure out what I need to be eating to have a well balanced diet as well getting me in the best shape I have ever been.  She's  been so amazingly encouraging to me and it's so obvious to everyone how much she truly cares about her members.  The fact that she, herself has just been through the pregnancy and post-pregnancy journey has also been a huge factor in my accomplishments.  She totally GETS IT and can relate to everything I have felt, gone through and desire to achieve.  

I originally thought "I don't want to spend the money month after month for bootcamp", but I can wholeheartedly say that I can't afford NOT to continue on with bootcamp. Today I am making healthier eating choices and I feel AWESOME! My husband made the comment to me one day that I seem like I'm in a better mood and am happier since starting bootcamp. I can totally agree with that, as a stay at home mom I NEVER got any time to be all by myself but now bootcamp is my ME time and I love it. I look forward to the 4:00 AM wake up call from my alarm to get up out of bed to RISE & GRIND!

Take it from me, a mom of 2 perfect angels, if you made the decision to join Melanie and the ABC family you would never regret it!  Come and join me in the RISE and GRIND!

I Needed To Make A Change

Last year, I celebrated my son's first birthday. It was such a happy occasion with our friends and family. Then, I looked at the pictures. I was so unhappy with the way I looked that I didn't want to share any of them! That's when I knew I needed to make a change.

When I think back on my time at Boot Camp over the past six months, I have gained so much more than I've lost. I've lost 26 inches, 22 pounds, and 2 pant sizes but I have gained energy, confidence, and most of all, a Boot Camp family.

While I have loved the feedback from my family and friends about how much they have seen my body change, the accomplishments that I am the most proud of are the ones that others may not even notice; running a little farther without stopping, adding an extra pound to my hand weights, or getting extra reps on my assessments.

I joined Boot Camp to change my outside but the most important changes have happened on the inside. My body is still far from my own ideal but I've learned that I am making one healthy choice at a time. It is not just about my clothing size, it's about how I feel about myself.

Melanie, thank you so much for your dedication to your fitness family. Your time spent encouraging me, sharing with me, and creating such unique workouts are so appreciated.

Never Give Up

Today was a struggle for me. I so wanted to give up. But something inside of me screamed NO!

That word "fire" kept coming back to me. Just find the flame and fan it and KEEP REACHING. And that's what I did. It was so hard tonight, but I couldn't be happier I didn't let myself give up. All of the emotions went into my breathing and by the end, I HAD let things go. I DID feel better. And I was, and am, grateful for that time I spent with you and others like me just being able to be ourselves, good and bad, just in that moment.

East Texas Adventure Bootcamp is the best thing I have ever done for my own body! I look forward to waking up each morning because I never know what kind of fun, adventuress workout Melanie has planned for us. Before starting bootcamp I was very unclear on what exactly clean eating was but, after reaching out to Melanie for help she really went above and beyond to explain what would help me and gave me multiple meal plans to help me get started towards a long-lasting healthy lifestyle. There are so many things I love about bootcamp but, a few that keep me coming back each morning is the motivation from other campers and the awesome feeling I get when I leave workout each morning. As I finish up my 5th camp I can successfully say I have met a huge goal for myself. I have lost 21 pounds by my 21st birthday and feel better than I ever have. I truly could not have done it without all the motivation I received from everyone within this fitness family.

East Texas Fitness Adventure Boot Camp is simply the best! I particularly like the variety of activities and the sense of fun that's built into the program. I really felt like I was getting the maximum benefit out of the program. I highly recommend the program to anyone wanting to improve their fitness and overall health.

This fitness and weight loss program is honestly the best gift I have given myself. It is motivating, stimulating and challenging…everything my old routine lacked. It jumpstarts my day and I have met a wonderful group of women from all walks of life. I receive dedicated personal instruction – I couldn’t ask for anything more in an exercise program. I just want to take this time to say thank you for making me feel welcome at your camp. This was a huge step for me just to show up and come 2 weeks in a row. I am so excited about starting the next camp I can hardly wait. I talk about the camp all the time and how much I love it to a other people. And people say when I talk about it I have a glow in my face. I just want to say thank you for getting me back to having the glow and making me dig deep to get the fit and healthy body I deserve to have now, the future and forever.
